Yo! Yaoww! Yeow! Yuss! OK, my enthusiasm for your fitness and training is high as usual. The secret sauce this week is that even though Monday is Feb 28 the first week of March and a new month is launching. In light of that, I’d like to raise the bar for you old demons. We are still working on form. Still doing easy runs. Weekend outing is a bit longish. Weekdays are shortish. But now let’s add a sesh. Three easy yogs in the week, and one longish trot on the weekend. Keep working on form/technique. If you need to shorten up the weekday runs to 15-20 minutes, that’s fine. The goal here is to get your tissues used to 4 days of running exposure per week. Many of us will max out at this number over the summer, but some of you will get to 5 days run training in a week. Fancy workouts don’t really work until you lay down this base, so enjoy and know you are doing good things for yourself!

This sounds like a good week. I took quite a few days off after the 25k. Some were necessary, but eventually I just got a bit lazy.

How is everyone else doing with consistency with their runs?

Let’s reframe K-Katt! I don’t think you are lazy. A few days off were warranted! I had to downshift due to that knee flareup (wasn’t related to the running but to an awkward step of all things). Been walking, cycling, and then gently doing the LB exercises. Yesterday I yogged 1/4 mile at 15-minute pace. I’ll take it. We’ll see where the rebuild goes. Over the last year I’ve become a poster child for doing what you can do, being creative, staying positive. Not easy, but what choice is there? We are all in it together!

Thanks for the positivity boost! I did do some walks and a bit of climbing so you’re right, I have still been active.
