Some or even many Tribe members expressed interest in getting some running programming built into their training program. I’m pleased to get to work on the project. As you know, much of the “free choice cardio” or “creative cross training” that we do can be implemented solely as running. But we can also lay out some additional runs each week for those so inclined. The Running Demons! Right now the days are short and schedules tend to be busy, so let’s create the win. Here’s your first assignment. Get three runs per week through the end of the year. One longer one on the weekend and two short ones during the week. Get away from mileage targets right now, or even time goals, just run. Everything is easy. We will start building your base. An example would be a 27 minute run on Tuesday, a 31 minute jog on Thursday, and a 56 minute trot on Sunday. You get the picture. Low stress. But, and this is a huge one, no missing. You can shuffle the days, but you have to get these in if you want to be in the club. And, you have to chime in here to make this thing work. Let’s party!

Yes! Runners unite in spirit! Love the push to keep at it! Yep accountability is vital right now with the weather and busy season. Thanks JZ for creating this! Game on!

Yep, great energy Danette. Here we go! Just getting rolling with some no pressure out the door mojo. I’ll get my three in this week. Fairly lame but that stuff ends now!

3 runs a week is great, I need to get my shit together. I’ve been letting the pacific northwest rain/darkness keep me indoors lately! Can’t wait for the days to start getting longer again.

Hey John, I am in too. Will be low mileage, but it’s time to get back in the game. 🙂

And we all shall overcome. That’s great that you guys are feeling the mojo. The key during this short, dark, cold, busy time is not to overcommit or over expect. Just 3 easy outings is all we need. My post surgical recovery is going well in some ways but some deconditioning and weight gain are realities. My 10 minute jog of yesterday left me a little sore. I’ll enjoy trying to keep with you guys.

Hi Demons! (Daemons?) Went super light today just to get started. 5min warmup>3min jog>2min walk >3min jog>5min walk cooldown> some light stretching. Mainly wanted to see how much my foot sole(& morton’s neuroma) could handle. No issues there, however my left knee was absorbing a little more shock than the rest of my legs ankles & hips. Also will wear some cletes to have more traction in the snow next time. Great weather today for running. How was everyone else’s week?
