Simple Kettlebell Warmup

Training does not need to be elaborate to be effective. Sometimes simple is best. In our Training Tribe programming, we often use just a single implement for all or part of a workout. This month, in some of our sessions, we are employing a Simple Kettlebell Warmup. We start all our workouts with an activation or preparatory segment. Depending on the conditioning objective of the day, the initiation of the session gets the circulation moving, tunes up mobility, awakens the CNS, and steers the body toward readiness for the main, or primary component of the workout. The kettlebell is a versatile tool. Doesn’t take up much space and is relatively inexpensive. Great for a grab, go, and get it done episode. In this example — using the kettlebell as a warmup device — we’re not going after hypertrophy or conditioning. We’re just exploring a variety of positions and movement patterns and getting things rolling. There are many, many ways to accomplish a decent warmup. Here’s one.
