We are all familiar with push versus pull movement patterns. Exercises like presses and rows, or pushups and pullups, are staples in our conditioning programs. But interestingly enough, the terms push and pull apply equally well to our thinking. This is particularly true when considering how we frame our self-image and the way in which we define our path toward goal attainment. This episode explores an aspect of sports psychology in a simple manner. Pushing away from a negative situation may in many cases be less effective than pulling oneself toward a positive one.
