Greetings awesome Lifetime Body folks! Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard that the sub-2 hour marathon is no longer a barrier in human performance.
On Saturday, October 12th, in Vienna, Austria — Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge ran the marathon in 1:59:40! In a special event, designed to showcase the extension of the limits of human performance, Kipchoge ran 26.2 miles at a pace of approximately 4:34 per mile, which is over 13 miles per hour.
In this week’s Lifetime Body Podcast, PK & I recapped the recent record-setting (unofficial) run, and we delved into the science of peak performance. We discussed Kipchoge’s accomplishment, saluted him, and took inspiration from his greatness. Ultimately, this culminated in the Kipchoge Challenge! This is a great test of human locomotive functionality. Listen to the show to learn all about it…and take the Kipchoge Challenge!
